Sugar Cookies with Glaze Frosting

Ingredients
- ## Cookie
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ## Frosting
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3-4 tablespoons milk
- 2 tablespoons clear Karo syrup
Instructions
- Combine flour and salt with a wire whisk.
- Cream butter and sugar. Add flour mixture and blend on low until combined. Do not overmix
- Gather dough into a ball. Flatten the ball into a disk and wrap tightly in plastic wrap or a plastic bag. Refrigerate 1 hour until firm.
- On a floured surface, Roll dough to 1/4" thickness, cut with cookie cutters then place on ungreased sheets.
- Bake at 325°F for 13-15 minutes. Do not brown.
- Transfer to cool surface.
- Stir frosting ingredients until smooth. Add food coloring if desired.
