Cool California Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 package (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 ounce fresh Parmesan cheese, grated (¼ cup)
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 medium pressed garlic clove
  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves, sliced, or 2 teaspoons dried basil leaves
  • 1 can (14 ounces) artichoke hearts in water, drained and cut
  • 2 medium plum tomatoes, seeded and diced
  • ½ cup pitted ripe olives, drained and chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Unroll crescent roll dough and separate into triangles.
  3. Arrange triangles in a circle on 13" Round Baking Stone with points toward center.
  4. Roll dough into a 12-inch circle using lightly floured Dough and Pizza Roller to seal seams.
  5. Bake 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Remove from oven. Cool completely.
  7. Grate Parmesan cheese and combine with cream cheese.
  8. Press garlic into mixture.
  9. Slice basil and add half to cream cheese mixture; mix well.
  10. Spread mixture over crust.
  11. Cut artichoke hearts into bite-size pieces.
  12. Dice tomatoes and chop olives.
  13. Top pizza with vegetables and remaining basil.
  14. Cut and serve.
