Soft Breadsticks

Ingredients
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1½ cups warm water
- 2 tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1¼ tsp salt
- 4½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp. water
- Coarse salt or margarita salt
Instructions
- Combine yeast, salt, water, and sugar; stir and let sit 5 minutes.
- Gradually stir in flour to make smooth dough.
- Knead on floured surface 8–10 minutes.
- Divide into 28 pieces and roll into an approximate 8"x1/4" inch sticks.
- Place on greased baking sheet.
- Mix egg and water; brush over sticks and sprinkle with salt.
- Cover and let rise 25 minutes.
- Bake at 425°F for 15–20 minutes until brown.
